Best LGBT Realtor in Chicago

Michael Beaver is a Chicago LGBTQ+ realtor serving the North Side and North Shore. Community member, not just an ally. No pressure, just honest guidance.

Looking for an LGBT Realtor in Chicago?

There's a difference between an agent who slaps a rainbow on their website in June and one who's actually part of the community. If you're searching for an LGBT realtor in Chicago, that distinction matters more than the marketing.

Michael Beaver of Baird & Warner is a proud, openly gay Realtor who has been living and working in Chicago for over 15 years. His practice covers the North Side and the North Shore suburbs from Evanston up through Glencoe. He works with clients across the full spectrum of backgrounds and life situations, and he brings the same approach to every one of them: honest market knowledge, no assumptions, and zero pressure.

Why It Matters Who You Work With

Buying or selling a home is personal. You're sharing your finances, your relationship, your plans, and sometimes pretty vulnerable parts of your life with a near stranger. That's easier when the person across the table actually understands where you're coming from.

Michael works with LGBTQ+ clients across a lot of different situations: same-sex couples buying their first place together, single buyers navigating a process that can feel designed for someone else, people who've been in Chicago for years and are ready for more space, and people relocating here from other cities who want someone they can trust to help them find the right fit.

He also works with straight clients who want an agent who doesn't bring assumptions to the table. That's welcome too.

The point is that his practice has always been built around treating people like adults, being honest about what the market looks like, and leaving the judgment at the door. That's not a special LGBTQ+ feature. It's just how he works.

The Neighborhoods Michael Covers

Michael serves Chicago's North Side and the North Shore suburbs. His job is to help you find the right home for your situation, wherever that turns out to be. He presents options based on your budget, your commute, your priorities, and what you actually tell him matters to you. He doesn't make assumptions about where you should or shouldn't want to live.

Chicago's North Side

Michael covers Rogers Park, Edgewater, West Ridge, Andersonville, Uptown, Lake View, and Lincoln Park. Each of these neighborhoods has a distinct character, different price points, and different trade-offs. His job is to help you understand those differences clearly so you can make the decision that's right for you.

Rogers Park and Edgewater tend to offer more value per dollar than neighborhoods further south on the lakefront. Andersonville and Uptown have strong vintage housing stock. Lake View has high demand across most of its pockets. Lincoln Park is where North Side prices peak. West Ridge gives you more interior space and yard than most of the city at comparable price points.

Where you land should come down to what fits your life. Michael will help you figure that out.

The North Shore

Evanston, Wilmette, Glenview, Skokie, Lincolnwood, Kenilworth, Winnetka, and Glencoe each have their own market dynamics. Some are more urban in feel, some are quieter and more residential. Price points vary significantly across the corridor. Michael has worked deals across all of these communities and can walk you through what each one actually looks like on the ground, not just the real estate brochure version.

A lot of North Side buyers eventually consider the suburbs and aren't sure what they're comparing. That's exactly the kind of conversation Michael is good at.

Recent Sales

Michael's most recent closed transaction was a $665,000 condo in Fulton Market. He's building his sales record and brings the same preparation and follow-through to every deal, regardless of price point or neighborhood.
